Lerner, party of four! This sweet family recently welcomed baby Meredith, and I had the honor of creating her newborn portraits. Mom chose shades of soft pink and neutrals, and when she pulled out a Lilly Pulitzer scarf to incorporate, I knew we were a match made in heaven!
We got some beautiful wide-awake images which are a rarity in newborn portraiture. No fear of awake babies here, though! While some poses simply aren’t possible while baby is awake for safety reasons, there’s still so much we can do with an alert little babe. And who doesn’t love seeing those beautiful eyes?!
Soon Meredith gave in to the warm studio, white noise, and back rubs and was fast asleep. We got right to work on a beautiful neutral backdrop. I love the last image so much. Doesn’t she look like a little scoop of ice cream?
Then it was time for family poses! Dad and big brother, Finn, had used the session time to enjoy some one-on-one time, which we always encourage when working with older siblings. So much more enjoyable for young children than sitting in a warm, quiet studio!
These are my most favorite images because they show the love between baby and family, and they’re the images Meredith will treasure for the rest of her life. That’s a wrap for the Lerner family! See you again soon at your sitter session, baby girl!
